Meet the Founder

Vanessa’s passion for the Food & Beverage and Wellbeing industry is undeniable, deeply rooted and expansive. 

Her comprehensive background and hands-on experience spans over 15 years, encompassing formative managerial roles in corporate FMCG, restoration, catering, hospitality, and more; cultivating a robust understanding of the F&B landscape from the inside out. Her professional journey includes 13 years in brand and marketing roles, both in multinational corporations and start-ups, contributing to her nuanced grasp of brand dynamics and market trends.

In 2018, Vanessa made a pivotal move from the corporate world to become an independent marketing strategy consultant, while also collaborating with a leading business strategy firm in Milan as a Business Partner.

Mise n’Place embodies her lifelong passion, constant pursuit of indulging in industry knowledge, and her commitment to making a meaningful contributions to societal wellbeing and sustainable food and beverage initiatives. Here, she is the catalyst for growth, guiding startups, entrepreneurs, and established businesses to turn their visions into tangible success, pushing the boundaries of innovation in strategic marketing consultancy.

Vanessa has an international mindset, and her varied professional footprint speaks to her adaptability and cross-cultural acumen. She has lived in 4 different countries and speaks fluently Spanish, English, Italian, and she’s currently learning Portuguese.

Outside of work, Vanessa maintains her passion for a healthy lifestyle as a devoted yoga practitioner and a true food enthusiast who revels in the stimulating challenge of puzzles and is always seeking ways to enhance productivity.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor in Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, a Bachelor in Culinary Arts and Sciences, and a Master in Management of Food and Beverages. Her multifaceted expertise gives her a holistic perspective bridging nutrition science, gastronomy, and strategic market insight.
